Third Grade

2016-17
Our third graders are beginning the school year by setting up their sketch journals. In addition, we have new Ipads that the students are using to create electronic portfolios of their work. By now you should have received an invitation to log into Seesaw  to see what your child is doing in art class.

Our year began with a study on how lines, colors and shapes convey meaning. Our third graders used these elements in their hair.

Papier Mache
The third graders are currently learning about papier mache and the importance of creating  armatures that are freestanding and will support weight.  These imaginary creatures are developing and will soon become sculptures.
